Jonathan started collecting and researching medals at the age of 12 and has nearly 30 years experience of Naval and Military research. He served 20 years in the Royal Navy during this time maintained his interest in research and collecting medals whilst a member of the Orders & Medals Research Society for nearly 25 years.
After leaving the Royal Navy and a period of three years as a lecturer he is now a full time researcher, his specialist area is Navy & Army records of the Victorian period and the two World Wars.
